Arteriol has been formulated with nutrients to help the maintenance of normal blood pressure.
High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is often called ‘the silent killer’ because it typically has no symptoms. Over 40% of adults aged 45+ have undiagnosed high blood pressure.
High blood pressure is one of the main risk factors associated with premature death and long-term illness due to CVD (cardiovascular disease). CVD is the leading cause of premature death in Ireland with about 10,000 deaths per annum – approximately 8,000 coronary related and 2,000 stroke related.
Therefore, it is advisable to have your blood pressure checked regularly. Excess salt intake results in a rise in blood pressure. The average Irish adult consumes approximately 10g of salt per day, which is more than twice the amount needed for normal physiological function.
The HSE recommends that adults consume no more than 4g salt per day. Arteriol contains Potassium to contribute to the maintenance of normal blood pressure and a health claim for this purpose has been authorised by the EU. It also contains Folate to contribute to normal blood formation, Vitamins B6 and B12 to contribute to normal red blood cell formation and Thiamine to contribute to the normal function of the heart.
Arteriol also contains a unique herbal formulation containing specific herbs such as Hawthorn, Red Clover, Artichoke, Stinging Nettle, Horse Chestnut Root, Orthosiphon, Chili and Chicory.
